About WSOMUNWSOMUN is three day United Nations academic simulation where delegates gain an insight into the workings of the United Nations and the dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of UN representatives and members of other international bodies and national cabinets. WSOMUN is an exciting opportunity for students to debate issues that confront world leaders and to draft resolutions in response to these global issues. Delegates will develop their abilities to work with others who are equally motivated and passionate about the topics of debate and to respond to global concerns.

Why WSOMUNResearch has shown that MUN give students a practical expression to political concepts and factual knowledge through a fun and interactive pedagogy of learning. They are directly involved in decision making processes that encourages leadership and teaches them the value of their actions, while developing cognitive strategies, researching, verbal and writing skills. In some cases, students develop a constructive change in attitude toward problems beyond the scope of the classroom, thereby promoting global citizenry. We hope to create a platform for the youth of our society to validate the enthusiasm for learning and to bring forth their sense of responsibility towards the issues that affect our planet, and train them to encourage their concrete commitment as leaders and thinkers of tomorrow.
